Dr. Stephens earned a Ph.D. in educational studies from Lesley University and a Master’s in Education from Simmons University, with a specialization in Severe Special Needs and additional licensure in Early Childhood Education. Dr. Stephens previously taught students with moderate to severe special needs in both private and public school settings. She also gained administrative experience as the coordinator of district-wide public school programming for students with developmental disabilities and autism. As a Special Education Consultant, Dr. Stephens works with families and schools in support of student needs at the individual, classroom, and district wide level. In addition to consultative work, Dr. Stephens is an Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education and Coordinator of Student Teaching at Dean College.

Michelle Lagana, M.Ed.
Mrs. Lagana, earned a Master’s degree in Education through Simmons University, with a specialization in Intensive Special Needs, Pre-K-12. Mrs. Lagana has experience and training in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and she is certified in Wilson Reading. She brings a depth of understanding of the field through her work in a variety of public and private school settings. As a Special Education Consultant, Mrs. Lagana partners with families and schools towards determining appropriate support and services with the goal of improving individualized programming and student outcomes.
